The Board of Accountancy is the regulatory body charged with administering and enforcing the South Dakota Codified Laws and Administrative Rules of South Dakota pertaining to Certified Public Accountants.
Our mission is to protect the citizens of South Dakota from receiving inadequate accounting services by licensing qualified accountant applicants; monitoring annual reporting requirements and continuing professional education; and enforcing statutes and rules promulgated by the Board to regulate the practice of public accountancy.
